Clint4 has existed as an instrumental band in some form or other for more than a decade. The original core of the band consisted of Clint Fore on guitar and tuba, and Chuck McCormick on drums. Clint and Chuck, having met while both members of the

Clint4 has existed as an instrumental band in some form or other for more than a decade. The original core of the band consisted of Clint Fore on guitar and tuba, and Chuck McCormick on drums. Clint and Chuck, having met while both members of the forever evolving band Matter, began playing together as clint4 in 2004. Over the years, they played many different shows, both exotic and mundane, and their musical bond was strengthened by the conciseness of being a duo. In 2012, Harper Marchman-Jones joined the band, expanding the sound and style of clint4. Clint's complex guitar picking is perfectly complimented by Harper's expansive musical vocabulary and tasteful guitar voicings. In 2016, Dave Marvel joined the band on bass to complete the sound. His creative bass parts fit in between Clint's and Harper's guitar lines like they were always supposed to be there and were just missing from the music.
The band's sound is best described as eclectic, but can in varying turns be called rock, country, indie, folk, ambient, jazz or psychedelic, depending on the song, and always in different combinations. As the band continues to evolve, the sound has grown more textured and ethereal, but also has a harder edge at times that keeps the music firmly rooted.
